Madrid, 9th June 2009, Convención Hotel. In this Seminar, the current situation of lack of protection for users facing the different fraud forms was dealt with as well as the creation of a constructive debate where conclusions about this situation were drawn and also viable solutions and interventions against criminals which can stimulate cooperation among all agents and actors in the world of payment methods.

“The economic crisis and fraud in payment methods in Spain and in the European Union” took place on 9th June in Madrid. The event had numerous personalities involved in the different cash payment methods sector such as Mrs. Francisca Sauquillo, President of the Consumers and Users´ Board, Mrs. Lidia Vaquerizo, manager of the 4B product area and systems services, Mrs. Elena García Díez, Coordinator of e-fraud for INTECO-CERT, Mr. Julio Cortés, representing the European Consumer Centre and representatives of the Spanish National Police, Guardia Civil (Civil Guard) and Europol Bodies, experts in fighting against new types of economic fraud. Interesting conclusions and proposals were drawn, which will be published in the different ADICAE material in the project framework.
