Statistical study and data concerning the economic and social reality of fraud
One of the main concerns that ADICAE has is to proof the impact caused by fraud in payment methods on domestic economies, to show how fraud influences users when using payment cards, electronic banking, etc. For this reason, a exhaustive study on this field has been carried out, obtaining data from current research recently published by organizations, entities and business specializing in fraud in payment methods; besides, a survey by ADICAE was carried out both in person and on-line. With all these data and results the situation suffered by consumers has been shown and their purpose was to give some logical and feasible solutions to actors in the world of payment methods.
European technical catalogue against fraud
This publication, the cornerstone of the rest of activities and publications in the project, expects to alert and make judicial and police authorities aware of the risks that consumers of payment methods run and, at the same time, to inform advanced users how their payment methods technically function and how criminals act by applying new technologies to try to make people become fraud victims. The main objective is for authorities to take measures and find solution according to their competences and for advanced users to be fully aware of fraud and therefore how to avoid it.
