There is currently a great deal of payment methods available for users: credit cards, electronic bank transfers, mobile payments, electronic money… however, are they safe? From ADICAE we can assure they are not.
ADICAE, the only Spanish consumers´ association specializing in Banks, Savings Banks and Insurance, concerned with the lack of protection for users of these payment methods, faces and takes part, together with other consumers´ associations, in the international project “European Cycle of Seminars for fraud prevention in payment methods in collaboration with police forces, legal authorities, consumers associations and professional entities”, which is subsidized by the European Commission. ADICAE will hold different seminars to gather consumers, regulators, different fraud control bodies (police forces, security companies...), and will also inform and alert users about the risks concerning payment methods, with the purpose to make the right use of those and therefore to avoid fraud nowadays, unfortunately something rapidly spreading. |
