Claims and insurance policy covers:
Insurance legislation and European consumer problems.

Over the last years, there’s been a dramatic increase of insurance policies.

Unlike many European countries, Spanish consumers still don’t see insurance products as synonym of quality of life, as the most advanced way considered by the rest of Europe, but as something negative and harmful. Besides, they do not usually understand how they work.

It is obvious that insurance companies are responsible for this situation, due to their traditional lack of transparency and the absence of proper customer service departments. Aggressive and unprofessional selling campaigns launched throughout Spain show how the consumer is portrayed: as someone naive who could buy any kind of product, regardless the suitability of such product.

In addition, in cases such as car insurance, the consumer is usually seen by the insurance company as some kind of a natural born fraudster they need to be protected from.

This situation, which is detrimental for both companies and consumers, must be avoided in order to give way to a new concept of selling, product and customer service, which should be more modern and relevant to the importance that this business sector bears within for people’s lives and budgets.
